Conference and Tsunami Warning

We had General Conference this weekend. We woke up at 5:00 am for the first sessions on Saturday and Sunday!! Since we have a good internet connection we watched and listened online. I did get in the Priesthood session at the Stake Center, and we watched the afternoon Sunday session at the Stake Center as well.

Just a few thoughts about conference in Samoa: (1) most members don't have high speed internet, so they go to the chapel; and (2) EVERY male member was wearing a white shirt and tie. It isn't every day in the states you get to say that!

After conference we came home to a tsunami alert. So, even though the earthquake hit more than 2000 miles away by the Solomon Islands, we thought we'd be safe rather than sorry. We drove up to our friends' home on the hill. From their deck we could see the ocean, but we didn't have to be nervous about it.

Pretty nice view from up here, huh?

Sean and Jessi,

I looked through a lot of your blog today. It is easy to see why you have so many friends and why Sean has been so successful in writing. I love your sense of humor, appreciation for the beauty, and the pictures are beautiful. I love you so much, even if I don't know how to express it. Your eternal sister,

Angela
